Insomniac arbeitet an Ratchet & Clank

Synchronsprecher David Kaye sagte gegenüber ShogunGamer, dass der “Resistance”-Entwickler Insomciac Games derzeit an “Ratchet & Clank” arbeitet.

Auf die Frage, ob er für ein “Resistance”-Sequel gekommen ist, sagte er: “Ich weiss nichts über Nate. Es gibt immer interessante Entwicklungen von Insomniac Games. Wir arbeiten zur Zeit an mehr Ratchet & Clank.”

Insomniac sagte letzte Woche, dass sie zwischen jetzt und der Penny-Arcade-Expo im September ein neues PS3-Spiel ankündigen werden. Der angekündigte Termin scheint auf die gamscom hinzudeuten.

Gerade frisch auf der GamesCom vorgestellt, wird das neue Ratchet & Clank drop-in, drop-out CoOp für bis zu 4 Spieler bieten. In der Demonstration waren das neben Ratchet und Clank noch Quark und Nefarius.

ich liebe R&C aber irgendwie ist es ein Quatsch da zu 4t durch die Level zu rennen. schon allein weil Nefarius z.b. nicht zu ratchet gehört! und dass es auf der ps3 dann nur wieder online gehen wird (s. trailer) kann man sich das gleich sparen zu produzieren. die sollen lieber wieder ein nagelneues R&C mit ner guten geschichte machen!

außerdem war R&C immer ps3 exklusiv was sich mit dem game ja nun dank EA ändert

Ne, also ich bin mir mal da nicht so sicher, habe bisher noch auf keiner anderen Seite gelesen dass R&C auch für X360 kommt.

Ich glaube du hast dich nur verlesen.

Insomniac hat noch mindestens ein Spiel in petto, das durch EA auf der PS3 und Xbox360 landet.

Es kommt nur ein weiteres Spiel von Insomniac auf PS3 und XBOX. Das R&C bleibt wieder PS3 Exklusiv. Zumindest bis wir mehr darüber wissen.

Ultimately little is known about All 4 One at this point, but what's been shown so far looks promising. Sure, you could be mad that it isn't a traditional Ratchet game, but you could also hate puppies who are so fat they can't roll over -- it just wouldn't make sense. Me? I'm willing to bet that as the time draws near even the knee-jerk naysayers will have their minds changed and accept that Ratchet and Clank can be so much more than what we've come to know them as.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - Virtueller Rundgang durchs Game

Sony hat auf dem offiziellen PlayStation-Blog das erste Gameplay-Material zum kommenden “Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One” veröffentlicht.

Mit dem Titel geht man spielerisch neue Wege und wird der Serie erstmals einen kooperativen Multiplayer für bis zu vier Teilnehmer spendieren. Ansonsten wird sich allerdings nur wenig ändern, sodass wir uns auch dieses Mal auf eine Vielzahl abgedrehter Waffen und Gegner freuen können.

Insomniac hat einige Fragen zum GAme beantwortet.
Besonders cool: Beim lokalen Multiplayer können trotzdem alle Spieler sich mit Ihrem Account einloggen und Trophies kassieren. Hat das vorher schon mal wer hin bekommen? Multi-Login? LBP, oder? Aber ohne Trophies?

On the frame rate and resolution for the game:
“720p / 30fps is correct.”

“We actually did a test to compare what the game would look like at 60fps (with a bunch of the post-processing and effects turned off and/or toned down) vs. 30fps with all the effect cranked to 11. It was so hands down, not even a contest, not even CLOSE, like Nebraska whipping Western Kentucky 49-10: 30fps won hands down. We can just do so much more and make such a prettier game with all of the extra effects and bells and whistles.”

On the co-op options for online and offline:
“1-4 player online or offline co-op. Drop-in or out. And any combo of online and offline players.”

On the camera functionality in co-op:
“We’re focusing on the director’s style camera so we can really make the adventure seem cinematic. If you’re alone and playing online with 3 friends, the camera will bias towards you on your screen a bit, but generally we want you to be able to see you and your friends at all times.”

On dying in co-op mode:
“If you die during combat, you will have to be revived by other players. We don’t want to punish falling off ledges too much, as it’s really no fun to watch people play the game for long-periods (or for your friends to throw you off the ledge and then you have to wait to get back in)”

On how trophies are handled in offline co-op:
“If all four players are on the couch together, they will ALL be able to sign into PSN and earn trophies and such.”

On the single-player experience:
“In single-player, you pick your character, and you pick one companion who will be controlled by AI. So two characters on screen so you can still do all the co-op stuff!”

On the weapons:
“All the weapons will have things you can do with them alone, but all will be more powerful if used together.”

On 3D support:
“We are still considering 3D. TBD.”

On Playstation Move support:
“We are still evaluating and considering move. It’s only something we’d do if it really enhances the game.”

On the possibility of a multiplayer beta test:

Passend zum Start in das sonnige Wochenende bedachte man uns heute mit einem neuen Gameplay-Video zu “Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One”. Dieses rückt alle vier Protagonisten des Titels in den Mittelpunkt und verdeutlicht, dass Ratchet und Anhang auch im neuesten Ableger nicht davor zurückschrecken, die Teils hoffnungslos überzogenen Waffen sprechen zu lassen.

Im kooperativen Abenteuer, das für bis zu vier Teilnehmer ausgelegt ist, begleitet ihr Ratchet, Clank, Qwark und Dr. Nefarious durch neue Umgebungen, darunter ein gefährliches Küstendorf auf dem Planeten Magnus.
