Mit dem Namen PS3 Megabox Homebrew Project wurde eine neue Ära im Bereich der PS3 eingeleutet, dieses Projekt stellt ein neues Media Center für eure PS3 dar, welches mit dem der Xbox1 zu vergleichen ist.


Die Megabox hat viele nützliche Features:

VoIP, P2P, TV, Movies (inkl. *.mkv) und vieles mehr

Und nun das beste:
Es ist keine Installation dieser Megabox auf eurer PS3 nötig, man muss lediglich eine CD/DVD brennen und diese in der PS3 aufrufen, ebenso klappt dies auch per USB Stick.

Übrigens, die Megabox ist OpenSource (basierend auf FREEVO)!

Video:

naja trozdem wird es von der leistung eingeschränkt und nicht so schnell sein wie XBMC da die Hardwarebeschleunigung unter Linux fehlt.

Diese Software-Erweiterung für die beliebte Spielkonsole von Sony soll das Gerät ohne eine aufwendige Installation in ein vollwertiges Media Center verwandeln. Mal eine Frage, wie zockst Du die Spiele? Wenn ich ein Rom auf einen Stick packe, und dann auf Games gehe, findet er nichts.
Und ist das EMnü bei Dir auch sehr langsam???
Oder ist es bei mir so, weil ich über HDMI rein gehe.

Besser gesagt wie startest Du die megabox.
Ich habe den loader instaliert und dann die cd mit dem gebrannten Iso reingetan und die PS3 im anderen system gestartet. dann kamen ganz viele pinguine, bin da auf megabox3 gegangen. ist das richtig.

Hört sich zwar sehr vielversprechend an,aber da HDMI noch nicht funktioniert,ist das erstmal uninteressant.
Sollte die Funktion aber mal gegeben sein,lohnt sich sicher mal ein Test,da ja soweit ich weiß auch keine Linux Installation nötig ist.
Wird auf jedenfall mal im Auge behalten.
