Alternative Lan adapter

Noch mal meine Frage hat jemand ein link für den Wii-lan-adapter der geht??
Am besten von einem shop der se noch liefert.

ich war ja heut beim conrad in Frankfurt hab mir da ein adapter geholt ging aber net
mittler weile weiß ich das die A Version des 3016 der falsche is.

also ich hab heut die bestätigung von atelco bekommen, dass mein digitus 3006 heute rausging. hab grad noch mal geschaut und atelco bekommt am 10. wohl wieder welche.

I tried everything I can imagine. I did manage to find the MAC address of the USB LAN adapter by connecting the adapter to my pc. But it still doesn't show up on the Wii settings. Weird situation. I keep thinking it has to be my Livebox router, but it doesn't allow me to MAC FIlter.

Well ok sorry for the late reply was a bit busy.
I looked on my Wii and found where the Mac adress should show up.
Go to Wii settings page 2 ---> choose internet -----> pick console information. There is the upper Mac adress ( should be Wlan mac adress ) and the one below should be USB LAN Adapter MAC Adress. IF its blacked out i think the Wii dont reconise it. If there is a MAC adress you can be sure the Wii knows the USB Networkadaper you using. Well i think that because i dont have/using one but it seems logical.

OK here is what i did without owning the LAN adapter to look into the settings.
Make a new connection----> choose wired connection. The wii will try to make a connection but comes up with an error message "LAN adapter not properly inserted" ( because i dont have a lan adaper inserted ).
After failure im still in the connection menu of the failed connection.
I can now choose change settings. You should go there now too to look what settings are set on your wii.After you did choose change settings you will get a screen of wireless connection in the upper part, ssid in the middle and wired connection on the bottom. The wired connection should be marked with red borders. On the right and left side in the middle are also blue arrows choose the right one to go on with the settings.
The next screen you will see is for Wireless lan security and all options should be greyed out so go on and press the right arrow again.
The next screen you will see is to choose if you want to obtain an auto IP ( DHCP ) or not. You should use yes. If you choose no ( advanced settings ) you have to put in an ip adress (i.e. 192.168.1.11 ) the subnet adress ( 255.255.255.0 ) and the default router ip. Im guessing the default router ip is the ip of your router if you do that on your PC its the gateway ip adress.

OK we agreed you choose auto ip first. Then click on next right blue arrow.
You get a screen Auto obtain DNS yes or no advanced settings.
Choose here Auto obtain too. For no you need to know the Domain Name Server ip adresses of your internetprovider.

So go on to the next page ( right blue arrow ).

This screen asks you if you use a proxyserver. Some internetproviders use some some dont. I think you can choose dont use.
If you wanna use one or have to put in you will need the adress of the proxserver and the port number. You can also put in a username and password.

Next page you will be asked for MTU Value. Keep it like it is on 0 else you could try look inside your router and loot at the MTU from the router and put same value in here too. Note i dont think you will need this.

After that your done on the Wii connection if you made changes be sure to choose save.

So if you made settings like this and have DHCP on your router active the wii should connect throught the router to the internet. If not there could be a MAC/IP adress filter in the router active but you said u dont have that option build in so i guess there is no filter at all.
It could be the wii dont work properly with your LAN adapter.
Could be you LAN cable or the port on the router is broken to be sure just take the cable and port your computer uses so take cable from your PC and put it on the wii. Then again you said you got a link LED lighten up.

Try this settings if it still dont work we can try to put in some IP adress on the wii.
You will need to know what IP your Router has what IP your computer uses and what ip ranges are free and allowed to connect to the internet throught your router.
Maybe you can get DNS IPs too.

mitlerweile bin ich auch auf die Idee gekommen einen Lan-Adapter zu kaufen. Leider habe ich vorher nicht in dieses Forum geschaut, und bin mir jetzt nicht sicher ob es an meier Einstellung liegt oder am Gerät.

Wenn ich ihn anschließe blinkt er ganz normal. Nur es gibt diesen tollen Fehler Code

Well I give up! Thanks for your help anyway I still don't get an USB LAN adapter MAC Adresss in the Wii, so I guess my adapter just doesn't work on the Wii. But I have a transparent DN-3006, which should work doens't it? I read stories here of people having the same thing and it worked. Do you guys have another firmware on the Wii?? I have version 2.0E, it shows up in the upper right corner in the settings menu. That's the only thing I can think of. My transparent DN-3006 did work for other people here, didn't it?

da drauf und schauen welche bei euch in der Nähe ist so bekommt ihr den am schnellsten!!!

Der User Gitkua hat den durchsichtigen DN-3006 lan adapter der bei Ihm allerdings nicht funktioniert. Muß das der durchsichtige Adapter oder der schwarze Adapter sein ?
Der bei Atelco sieht durchsichtig aus oder gehen beide versionen schwarz und durchsichtig ?

The one in the atelco shop looks clear.
Actual frirmware is 2.0E for Europe.

Oh one thing we didnt try. Have you turned off the wii and did you also turn off the power ( remove plug ) ? As far as i readed you need to make the Wii powerless insert the USB LAN adaptor while the wii is powerless then put powerplug with inserted USB connector in. Turn on and check again.I hope its this last option.

If that still not work you can also look if you have an access montior on your router. Try look at it when the wii trys to connect.

War bei mir genau das gleiche. Habe am 04.01. den DN 3006 bestellt. Vor einer halben Stunde kam die Post und im Paket war ein DN 3016-A.

ist heute mittag gekommen, ich öffne voller freude das paket und seh dann erst mal, dass der ja ganz anders aussieht
seh mir dann die verpackung an und stell fest das 3016-a hinten drauf steht

hätt das ding an die wand werfen können, die könn mir doch nicht einfach was anderes zu schicken bloß weil die anderen nicht mehr im lager sind.

habe eben bei atelco angerufen .. die dame erzaehlte mir das sie nur noch das 3016-a modell haben .. ich kann gar nicht soviel essen wie ich...

tja, ansonsten sieht es mau aus was den 3006/3016 angeht .. bei hardwareversand.de gibt es ab 11.01. noch welche .. nehme aber ganz stark an, dass dies dann auch eine a version sein wird .. mail ist raus!

gibt es sonst noch alternativen, ausser dem digitus? kann doch nicht sein, dass nur dieser adapter funktioniert ..

Habe auch von atelco nach einer Bestellung vor rund einer Woche heute eine 3016-A Version bekommen, mit der beim Wii natürlich nichts zu wollen ist. Schade! Der Adapter geht natürlich zurück.

Wenigstens sitze ich nicht völlig auf dem Trockenen, da ich das Glück habe, einen kompatiblen WLAN Stick zu besitzen, aber das der Wii nur online gehen kann, wenn der PC an ist, ist auch kein Dauerzustand. Bin daher für die Nennung weiterer kompatibler Modelle dankbar.
