Filming for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has finally started. The viral campaign has also started on the film’s official website. If you missed The Dark Knight campaign…it was brimming with interactive fan fun that included a Joker hosted city wide scavenger hunt. The first campaign involved Twitter and gave pieces to a larger pic which has now been revealed to be Hardy as Bane.

Shoot in Glasgow

Glasgow is to be transformed into Gotham City in the latest Batman film sequel. The Dark Knight Rises, which sees Christian Bale return as the caped crusader, will be filmed in the city, with Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine among the cast.

Director Christopher Nolan will use shots filmed around Glasgow in some of exterior scenes in the final instalment of his Batman trilogy.

Shooting has already begun in London and Croydon and will head north for several scenes early next month.
Nolan, who previously used Chicago to depict Gotham, wanted to use several different locations to create a Gotham nobody would recognise. A source revealed: "He plans to use various cities to provide a mash-up of what Gotham will look like.

Glasgow was location-scouted for the last film Dark Knight, though in the end it wasn't used. This time, Chris already has several scenes in mind. The city centre architecture is hugely impressive. But he will be filming in secret.

That said, if you see a man in body armour driving a big Batmobile down Sauchiehall Street, it's Batman."

Teaser im Juli?

The Dark Knight Rises" just started filming and we already got our first look at Tom Hardy as Bane. Now comes word from several sources that the first teaser trailer will appear in front of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," which hits theaters on July 15th.

Both people claiming this either work for a movie theater or have friends working at movie theaters. They say that theaters get a list of trailers that will be shown and "TDKR" is on that list.

Looking back at "The Dark Knight," which was released in theaters in July (same month as "TDKR"). The first teaser for the film was unveiled in July the year before (in front of "The Simpsons Movie"). And it's very likely that Warner Bros will follow a similar marketing strategy. So expect the teaser to be played in front of "Deathly Hallows: Part 2,"

But don't expect to see any actual footage from the movie and expect something similar to the Dark Knight's teaser.

Neu im Cast: Matthew Modine, Joey King &? Tom Conti

Christopher Nolan's tentpole pic has added "Full Metal Jacket" thesp Matthew Modine, who played Pvt. Joker in Stanley Kubrick's 1987 Vietnam War pic. He'll be playing a character named "Nixon" in the superhero sequel, though further details weren't available.

Additionally, Tom Conti and 11-year-old thesp Joey King have joined the ensemble, though in keeping with the Nolan tradition, details of their roles are being kept firmly under wraps.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures recently announced the start of production on the superhero pic, which is slated for release on July 20, 2012. "The Dark Knight Rises" will film in Pittsburgh, New York and Los Angeles, as well as on location in India, England and Scotland.

Modine will soon be seen playing former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain in Curtis Hanson's HBO telepic "Too Big to Fail." He'll also appear opposite Eva Mendes in Patricia Riggen's "See If I Care," as well as in the Ed Zwick-produced indie "Family Weekend," which co-stars King.

Conti, best known for his Oscar-nominated turn in 1983's "Reuben, Reuben," recently appeared in Julie Taymor's "The Tempest."

King, who played Ramona in last year's "Ramona and Beezus," recently appeared in "Battle: Los Angeles" and will soon be seen in WB's "Crazy, Stupid, Love." 11-year-old actress also stars in NBC's Amanda Peet series "Bent."

Modine is repped by APA and Untitled Entertainment, while Gersh reps Conti. King is repped by Coast to Coast Talent and manager Dan Spilo of Industry Entertainment.

Shoot in Indien - Zusammenfassung (Enthält Spoiler)

On Monday, Christian Bale, Josh Pence and Christopher Nolan left India in a chartered flight, having shot for 'The Dark Knight Rises' in Jodhpur.

Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's date with India got over on Monday morning, when they took a chartered flight back from Jodhpur to London. Both Nolan and Bale had arrived in India on May 4 and had shot for "The Dark Knight Rises" in front of and inside Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort on May 6 and 7.

Accompanying Bale on this India trip was Josh Pence, the actor who was digitally superimposed with Armie Hammer's visage to portray one half of the Winklevoss twins in David Fincher's " The Social Network". Pence was recently cast as young Ra's Al Ghul and is one of Batman's greatest enemies.

Incidentally, a green screen was created just outside the Fort. Nolan shot in front of the green screen and used the Fort as the backdrop. Sources say that this backdrop of the Fort has been used to establish that Batman is in an exotic location which is isolated too. However, this backdrop isn't meant to be shown as India in the film. Back in the UK studios, this 30 ft x 30 ft green screen will be digitally modified to create the Lazarus Pit. For those not in the loop, a Lazarus Pit is used by Ra's Al Ghul for gaining restorative powers. Scenes of Bale being carried into the pit and then jumping out of it were also canned. A couple of locals were cast as extras in the scenes that were shot in India.

However, it was not all work and no play for the cast and crew of the film. "Despite the intense heat, filming
continued without a hitch and the unit was satisfied with its Indian experience. The unit is supposed to have complimented the professionalism of the On The Road production unit handling the Indian leg of the shooting. On Sunday, the unit had a day off. So, Bale, who was accompanied by two children, took an autorickshaw ride in Jodhpur. However, no one really recognized him since he was wearing a cap and was sporting a beard. Besides, the whole team also went shopping. Bale bought textiles, shawls and pashmina from Jodhpur. The team also loved Indian food that was served to them during the shooting," says a source.

On Monday morning, around 9.30 am, Nolan, along with the cast, left for the UK. The rest of the film will be shot there.

Würde ja passen mit Rhaz al ghul ich hab mal Bilder gesehen ,da war eine Grube ausgehoben und mit Plastik Wänden bedruckt und diese waren in dne grün für Computer Effekte.

Ja es wird warscheinlich der letzte Batman Film die wollen ja alels möglichst real machen und da passt eben keine Pflanzen Lady oder ein Mensch Pinguin .

Der Nolan macht schon super Filme, schade das es sein letzter Batman-Film ist. Bin aber zuversichtlich das er wieder ein klasse Film auf die Leinwand bringt.

Das finde ich nun wiederum absolut schade!
Zwar stand es ja fast schon von Anfang an fest das es ein 3 Teiler werden würde (laut den Vertrag von bale) aber dennoch ists
mehr als nur schade. Einen anderen als Nolan kann ich mir irgendwie kaum vorstellen, da wird doch jeder Nachfolger jämmerlich versagen.

Das sehe ich auch so, alle anderen batman Verfilmungen kamen einfach zu kindlich und kitschig/Bunt daher.
Die Interpretation von Nolans batman Trilogie ist genau das geworden was Batman Verdient hat und auch
darstellt, dreckig, Brutal, Actionreich und vor allen dingen Genial. Batman bietet so viel und Nolan schaffte
es meiner Meinung nach auf eine realistische weise zu zeigen, und genau das ist der Unterschied wieso die
alten batman Filme nicht den Erfolg verzeichnen wie die heutigen.

Naja mir gefiel noch der aller erste Batman aber dann naja Batman wurde bunt flippig und so .

Ja er hat Batman genau gemacht was es ist ,ich finde es auch gut im zweiten Teil sieht man ja die Detektivarbeit ,mit der Patrone .

Schade das es nur drei Teile von Nolan gibt und auch Catwoman finde ich eine tolle Idee,sie ist ja weder schwarz noch weiß sie ist einfach grau .

Ich hoffe ja immer noch das dieser Teil die Spielfilmlänge eines Avatar Aufbruch Nach Pandora mit sich bringt,

Der erste dauerte ja 140 Minuten (Bluray).
Der zweite in etwa 153 Minuten (Bluray).
Da wäre es doch nicht verkehrt die stolzen 178 Minuten eines Avatars im Neuen batman einzuführen (oder sogar übertreffen).^^
Zumindest so lange gestalten das es nie zu ende geht.-_^ Eins muss man aber Nolan lassen, er nimmt genau die Charakter ins
Film die ich gerne sehen möchte (Bane, Catwoman) und verschont uns mit solchen gestalten (wie Robin).

Poison Ivy, Killer Croc usw. wären dennoch genial gewesen, für einen einzigen Film jedoch zu viel des Guten.

Das wäre durchaus denkbar, damit würde er in die Riege der Meister Regisseure, Drehbuchautoren und Produzenten steigen.
Kollegen wie Steven Spielberg, James Cameron haben in deren FilmFirmen ähnliche Machtverhältnisse. Ist ja aber nichts neues,
immerhin (soweit ich das erfahren habe) schreibt er beim Drehbuch zu Man of Steel mit und gibt zahlreiche Ratschläge.

Dennoch glaube ich das die Batman nicht zu ende gehen wird ob nun mir - oder ohne Nolan, (was ja so sicher ist wie das amen auf der Kirche).
Eventuell dann auch mit den Super Darstellern Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Christian Bale usw. Wünschenswert wäre es allemal.

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Batman Begins und The Dark Knight,
und ich denke dass The Dark Knight rises auch ziehmlich gut wird.
Aber Nolan macht meiner meinung nach einen Fehler ..
alles ist genau so wie in The Dark Knight, sprich: Batmans Anzug. der Tumbler ... ich fände mal ein neues batmobil oder einen neuen Kampfanzug ganz gut
und ausserdem finde ich dass nolan nicht wieder Raz' al Gul aufgreifen sollte, weil ich den Charakter uninteressant finde. Zudem kommt noch das das Kostüm von Bane "siehe Quelle"
keineswegs änlichkeiten mit dem in den comics hat... das sieht eher aus , wie eine mischung aus Hannibal und Blade
Trozdem denke ich, dass The DArk Knight rises nicht enttäuschen wird
